My New Goal

Last November I was thinking that I wanted to make blankets for my grandkids but knew that I didn't have time to get them done in time for Christmas. So, I decided to make them a blanket/quilt for their birthdays since I would only need to make them one at a time. I finished my first one today and I need a lesson on binding with a bias binding. I tend to get bored with projects that take too long and don't have the patience I need to do an excellent job. It is still cute and I made a pillow case to match. I just needed help with the corners. Kami told me that she wanted Kaden to get something that she could use to help him learn his ABC's and so I got him some alphabet flashcards, a workbook, and made this ABC quilt. It is pieced and everything. By the time I make Leah's quilt for her birthday maybe I will be a pro.

  1. It looks wonderful! I love the bright colors! I subscribe to a few blogs that have some good binding tutorials. Let me know if you want some links.

Great job on the quilting! That's a good idea to space them out, to give as birthday presents. I can't wait to see each one!
